WHAT DO YOU THINK OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES?

What is your general opinion in speaking in tongues?

I think there are a lot of lies that comes from that. I believe some preacher fake it. It's a waste of time to the congregation. Why would somebody sit around listening to something you don't understand?

A more elaborate comment will follow... but for now I'll say this. Speaking in tongues is biblical. I don't do it myself. (I dont believe the Lord has placed that upon me yet)

I still intend on researching more on that subject though.

Bernylakay:--> I understand that there maybe individuals who "fake" it. Yet, I dont think you should refer to it as "a waste of time." There are people with gifts of tongue and there are others with the gift of interpreting it. You might be wondering, why is it that we usually see one of those and not both "speaker" and "interpretor". That is the aspect that I wish to learn more about.
BUT!!!! Be very careful, don't be so quick to judge without first consulting the wisdom of God to help you understand that which you don't. Don't get me wrong im not trying to say that you are wrong in your assumption. Just ask for better understanding of the subjest and a spirit of descernment before desiding who is and who isnt speaking "authentic" tongue.

The gift of "toungues" is simply the gift of speaking different languages. When the Bible refers to"tounges" it means languages.

Just like the Creole word "lang" means toungue and it means language as well.

For example "ki "lang" ou pale


Toungue=Language

Jesus wants the Gospel to be preached to every people, tribe, nation and tounge.(language)
